Topic: Be Led By Peace
Scripture: And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds]… – Colossians 3:15 (AMPC)
Message: I’m not a sports fan but I know that the umpire in a baseball game decides whether you are out. Peace in your heart should be the umpire that decides whether something should be out of your life.
Many people do not enjoy peace in their lives because they are out of the will of God. They follow their own will rather than God’s will. They do what they feel like or what they think is right rather than following God’s Word and being led by peace.
I’ve learned something can sound good, feel good, and even be a good thing…but if I don’t have peace about it, I leave it alone.
If you want the peace of God to rule in your life, learn to be sensitive to His leading.
Prayer Starter: Father, I want to live a peaceful life. Help me to always follow Your peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
