Read: Galatians 5:1-26

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). (Galatians 5:16).

EXPOSITION

When the body is weak, it means it has lost its strength. Therefore, it becomes difficult to do things it could do! The same is applicable to your spiritual aspect of life. Sin weaknes the spirit man and devil takes advantages of that to buffet you. Satan concentrates to attack our areas of weaknesses. Although, there have been unusually self-controlled individuals who seem to change part of their temperaments and much of their conduct, but that has never cured all of their weakness.

Satan is aware of yiur major temperament weaknesses, and you can be sure he will not take this lightly. His greatest delight in regard to Christians is to see them defeated by their own weaknesses. However, the does of today’s Living Water helps you to discover the antidote to your weakness. Being consistently spirit-filled is the way out (Eph.5v18-21). It is thrilling to see the spirit of God, take a weak, depraved person and transforms him/her into a living example of the power of Christ Jesus.

It is unfortunate that many Christians do not experience complete transformation, and that is why they have not had victory over sin, flesh, world and Satan. (2 Cor. 10:4-6) Although, we receive new nature by being born again (2 Cor.5v17) but we need to be regularly experiencing the power of the spirit-filled life. To overcome any form of weakness in your spiritual life. To overcome any form of weakness in your  spiritual life, you must be filled continually with the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit must have total control of your life to over come sin, self, Satan and the world. Filling up your car today is not an indication you will not fill again when necessary. Holy Spirit must constantly influence you, if you must transform your weakness into God’s strength.

Listen to David’s confessions in Psalms 18:2, 28:7 and songs of Moses and Miriam. Receive strength from Him (2 Corinthians 10v12,13v9).
