DAILY REFLECTION FOR TODAY

PASSAGE: REVELATION 22:1–5
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
MESSAGE:
Jesus Christ laid serious emphasis on the everlasting Kingdom or the eternal reign, He wants His own people (the Saints, the Redeemed, the born again Christians), to be with Him in heaven where He would reign forever. He has gone to prepare the place for us and He is coming back to take us to where He is.
Those that did not belong to Jesus, the antichrist, in this world shall for no reason be with Him for the eternal reign. In that place there will be mark of ownership on the foreheads of the believers which signifies the price paid by the Christ to redeem us and we shall see Him the way He is, in His glory (vs 4).
There will be comfort and enjoyment. Nobody among the people will feel hungry. Everything needed by the Saints have been made available. There is no more any labour for what to eat or what to wear or how to pay school fees of our children. In fact all those things that gave us needless pain and anxieties would have been done away with. There, it is joy unlimited and life abundant.
Dear reader, there is no amount of enjoyment you have in the world today that you can compare with that of heaven. Enoch (Genesis 4:17–18; 5:18–24) lived and “walked with God” for 365 years in this world of sin undefiled and was translated to heaven in his natural body, living happily there thousands of years ago! Prophet Elijah, too, is still there with God in heaven enjoying there with the Saints (2 Kings 2:1-12).
Will you, too, be there when you die? Where will you spend your eternity, hell or heaven? Tomorrow maybe too late. Decides and take a step of faith today.
