TOPIC: THE NEED TO DEVELOP YOUR FAITH (I)
MEMORISE
Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you” (Matthew 9:29).
READ: Mark 11: 22-24
[22]. So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
[23]. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
[24]. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
EXPOSITION
Prayer is the major kingdom principle to ask things from God. while faith is the only kingdom principle to receive them from Him as long as they do not go contrary to His perfect will (Mk. 9:23, 1Jn. 5:14). The truth is that you cannot enjoy God beyond the level of your faith (Mark 2:1-5; Heb. 11:6). The degree of your faith has a lot to do with the degree of what you get from God. Do not forget the woman with the issue of blood (Matt. 9:20-22). Your faith must be developed enough to challenge God to answer your prayer. Getting an answer to your prayer is not about how louder your voice is, or how long you have been in it. Many a time, it has to do with how strong and challenging your faith is (Matt. 13:58; 21:22; Lk. 7:9; 50; 18:42; Jas. 5:15-16). Whether you talk out your prayer or think it in your heart, what concerns God the most is the degree of faith you attach to it (cf. 1 Sam. 1:12-13; Eph. 3:20). Sometimes, it is good to apply agility in prayer. But if faith is not strongly applied, the prayer amounts to nothing despite your so-called agility. Above all, as your faith continues to grow, it has an impact on every aspect of your life. It affects your prayer life, your understanding of the Word of God and your communion/intimacy with God. Leonard Reven Hill says, “God honours not wisdom nor personality but faith. Faith honours God. And God honours faith. God goes wherever faith puts Him.”

1. God, give me the grace to know and enjoy You the more.
2. I release myself from the doubting spirit, in Jesus’ name.
3. Lord, bring Your Church back to faith as of old.
