TOPIC: DO NOT BE WICKED (II)
MEMORISE: Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered (Proverbs 11:21).

[16]. A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.
[17]. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
EXPOSITION
Wickedness is more than just committing sinful acts, it encompasses living a life that is completely contrary to the holiness of Christ. Imagine this scenario: you are recklessly engaging in sinful behaviour, without any regard for the potential consequences. However, it is important to recognise that in the eyes of God, this behaviour is considered wicked. It is crucial to reflect on the impact of our actions and strive to live a virtuous life because wickedness can’t go unpunished: Even if the wicked join forces, their punishment is inevitable (Prov. 11:21).
But fear not, for there is a way out of this darkness. Righteousness is shedding your wickedness. Are you tired of regret and guilt? Break free from sin, and live virtuously. Actions have consequences, in this life and with God. Sin brings temporary pleasure but leads to misery. Reflect and make a change. In the Bible, the wicked and the righteous are constantly mentioned side by side as opposing forces (Psa. 11:5; 34:21; 37-16,17; 75:10; Prov. 15:6,28, 29; 21:18; Eccl. 3:17; 9:2). Are you asking what it means to be righteous? It is doing what is right in the eyes of God and others (1 Jn. 3:7). It means having a harmonious relationship with the God Who adores the righteous and listens to their prayers. So why not take a leap of faith and choose righteousness, today? Leave behind all forms of wickedness and embrace a life that pleases God. It is time to dare to be righteous, dear devout.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, let Your fear always dominate my heart so that I will continuously shun sin.
2. Lord, help me to live in the righteousness of Christ all the days of my life.
3. Pray for CAC Adeleja Region, our father in the Lord, the Regional Superintendent, and other officers at the various levels as led by the Spirit of God.
