LESSON TWENTY-ONE
WALKING IN THE SPIRIT — ROMANS 8:1-1
September 29th, 2019.

Last week, we learnt how God sent His Spirit upon the followers of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit is still available to all who accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.

Anyone who has received the Spirit of God must do things according to the leading of the Spirit. We must allow Holy Spirit to teach us, lead us, and direct why we say, where we go, and what to do. If we allow Holy Spirit to dwell in us, He will teach us what to write in our exams and how to live successfully.

It is Holy Spirit that differentiates the children of God from the children of Satan. Walking in the spirit will hinder you from committing sin or disobeying God (Rom. 8:1-2).

Walking in the Spirit gives us life and peace. But without Holy Spirit in man, it leads to death (verse 6). If you want to walk in the Spirit, read your Bible everyday, pray every day, meditate in the Word of God. Do what the Bible commands us to do as children of God and do away with ungodliness. Do not forsake fellowshipping with the body of Christ.

As you remain faithful to these, you will be able to walk in the Spirit.

MEMORY Verse: There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. Rom. 8:1 (GNB)

PRAYER

Holy Spirit, come upon me and lead me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
