TOPIC: CHARIOTS OF FIRE
In the days of Prophet Elisha, not every army possessed chariots could overrun a territory in a short period. The king of Aram intended to attack Israel but each time he attempted, Prophet Elisha revealed their strategy to the king of Israel. Enraged by this, the king of Aram turned on Prophet Elisha.
What was originally a national attack became an individual attack. As it turned out, the army and the chariots of Aram were up against horses and chariots of fire assembled by the LORD to defend Prophet Elisha! The army of Aram was defeated without a single person dying. Instead, they were fed and sent back to their king. This marked the end of hostilities between Aram and Israel. Victory won without shedding blood! How do you perceive this truth in a time when some Christians are visiting diviners to help them destroy their enemies and churches are dedicating special time praying for the death of people’s enemies?
Where are the chariots of fire? Where is the breakfast for the enemies? Remember that we fight not against flesh and blood.
Our battle is not to be fought by our might or power but by the Spirit of the LORD! Do you have enemies? Are you praying for the destruction of your enemies? Serve them food and water. Allow the chariots of fire to do the rest!
QUESTION: Who is your real enemy and how do you fight him?
PRAYER: Open my eyes to see the chariots of fire standing in my defense. Give me a heart for my enemies, Amen.
