CREATIVE CREW

TEXT:.EXODUS 36:1-8

MEMORY VERSE: “Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the LORD put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded” (EXODUS 36:1).

Myles Munroe described the cemetery as a very rich place where unused talents and gifts are buried. For Bezaleel, Aholiab and every wise hearted man in our text, their God-given gifts and talents were not to be buried in the cemetery. They worked together, using their skills to design and build for God. John Wesley said: “The possessor of heaven and earth placed you where you are not as a proprietor but as a steward”. As a Christian youth, you are to channel your gifts and skills to God’s work with God’s people.

God deposited gifts in every believer; identify yours and use them for God and humanity. Manufacturing companies, scientific and medical research centres need talented young people like you to discover new knowledge and produce cutting edge technology to match the pace of the fast changing world. Do not reserve your talents for the cemetery. Are your abilities in the area of music, intercession, writing, building or graphics? Stir them up. Be a creative and an effective team player like Bezaleel, and you will serve God and your generation well.

QUOTE: Be a creative and an effective team player.

CHALLENGE: Don’t reserve your gifts, talents and skills for the cemetery.

PRAYER: Lord, make me a creative crew member in Your service.
