If you are a minister of the gospel, God didn’t call you to live by your anointing; He called everybody to live by his faith. Every time Jesus had a personal need, He used His faith. He used the anointing to solve the needs of people but He used his faith to deal with His personal needs. He was hungry, He saw a fig tree from a distance and walked there hoping to find fig fruit on it but He found out the figs were not there. The Bible says, “for the time of figs was not yet”, but what Jesus did next was shocking.

The fig tree did not have fruits because it was not supposed to have so why will He curse it? I stopped and said, “Lord there is something here, what are You trying to tell us?” Then the Holy Spirit showed me that everything that Jesus did was for a specific reason. He cursed the fig tree because He was about to show them the key to solve their personal needs!

There are times you live generally by faith but there are times that you must know how to use your faith to deal with issues that show up. Nobody wakes up in the morning and desires trouble; nobody wakes up and desires sickness to hit his or her child; nobody is looking for that but when anything comes up, you must know what works. It is not when trouble comes that you will try to test if something works. It must be what you know works. If we are talking of one of the passages that tells us the way to use our faith in a practical sense to deal with specific problems, it is this passage.

PRAYER: I am a storm rider, I am a mountain climber, I am a line crosser! My life will be a sign and a testimony that the Lord is good in Jesus name. Amen!
