December 4, 2020 Spirit Meat Devotional : Topic – ROLES OF THE MAN AND WOMAN IN MARRIAGE (2) – Psalms 112:1-3, Psalms 128

Yesterday, we established the fact that what brings a man into joining is that he must leave his father and mother to cleave to his wife. The man must function in correct headship in the home.
Over the years, I have seen men raised by mothers that subverted their husbands’ headship at home. The first thing I have seen in men raised in such an environment is rebellion to male authority. They are also unnecessarily intimidated by women. It may please a woman to set her son against the father, but that woman will not say the same when that son goes to submit to his wife; she will pick on the wife to begin to fight later. I have seen it happen many times and I tell such women that it is what they raised that they are having a taste of. If a boy is raised to be a son, he will be the defender of both the father and the mother when they grow old.
Our text today gives us two distinguishing marks of a man walking in strong headship:
1.His seed shall be mighty on the earth.
Every man must make sure that his seeds, male or female, are not victims on the earth.
2.Wealth and riches shall be in his house.
Show me a man that poverty is in his house, he is not walking well with God.
If you are walking correctly in your role as a husband, Psalms 128 should describe your life. I will encourage every woman to pray this Psalms for her husband daily.
PRAYER: Declare Psalm 128 over yourself as a man and pray it over your husband as a woman.
