INTRODUCTION
Thank God, today is another Easter Sunday. Happy Easter! Many happy returns. Last week, we had the Palm Sunday and learned about the pain of greed for Judas. God used his act of betrayal to make fast the purpose of Jesus’ coming faster than if the enemies had subjected themselves to conducting a search for the arrest of Jesus to fulfill His purpose here on earth. Once again, the need to remain focus in this lesson cannot be over-emphasised. It is an annual event but with eternity in view.
FIRST WEEK: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN (John 3:1-15)
April 4, 2021.
It is very common to be told: you must be born again; or are you born again? Yes, it is for everyone. It is not just a slogan — It is real. The Kingdom of God is for those that are born again.
One night, a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, came to Jesus to know more about Him and to convince himself that Jesus is the Messiah. He sent no one, but found time from “no time” to seek Jesus. The Messiah, knowing his purpose or reason for coming, told him exactly what he need to hear — “No once can see the kingdom of God, without being born again.” A big surprised: how can that be possible? He asked. Jesus answered, it is possible? One has to be born of water and spirit. Its entry requirements are repentance and spiritual rebirth. Jesus’ to Nicodemus’ questions explains the process of salvation for all people. The only way to heaven is to be “born again” which only happens through the power of the Holy Spirit, when a person trusts Christ as his Saviour. Nicodemus came to talk to Jesus at night. He may have been afraid of what his important Jewish friends would think about him for talking with Jesus. No time is too early or too late to talk with Jesus. No time is inconvenient to Him. He is always ready to hear and answer. Do you delay. Postponement or procrastination is dangerous. Do it now and be fast about it! When Nicodemus did discover that Jesus was the Messiah, he spoke up boldly in His defence (Acts 7:50,51) – that is being a true witness. Do not isolate yourself from witnessing the truth.
LESSONS
1. Give time to know more about Jesus.
2. When you truly know He is the Messiah, do not hide yourself.
3. Be truly born again.
SECOND WEEK: GOD’S LOVE TO MAN (John 3:16-21)
April 11, 2021
After Jesus had taken His time to explain about salvation to Nicodemus, He delved into the issue of God’s love to man. He explained “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
God’s love for man is so strong, it cannot be broken, so wide, it cannot be measured, so high, you cannot reach it and so thick, you cannot do without it. This is Easter. Another resurrection Day! Think about it. Will you rise with Christ? He who believes is not condemned but all those who reject Him have been judged already. They are condemned. This is another opportunity to invite the Risen Saviour into your life. Jesus is the only answer you need to live this world and enjoy heaven.
LESSONS:
1. God’s love to man cannot be measured.
2. Whoever believes in Him is saved.
3. Whosoever that does not believe in Him is judged and condemned.
4. Anyone who believes in Him shall have eternal life and anyone who does not believe will have eternal punishment.
QUESTIONS
1. Who came to see Jesus at night?
2. Why did he choose to see Jesus that time?
3. What did he come to know?
4. What is the key to obtain salvation?
5. What is the reward for those who believe in Jesus?
6. How will the unsaved people be rewarded?
PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me not to procrastinate my salvation in Jesus name. Amen.

FIRST WEEK: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN (John 3:1-15)
April 4, 2021.
It is commonly asked, are you born again? It is good to remind ourselves about this topic, “being born again.” This is because we should not see it as a slogan but should see it as a passage into the kingdom of God. It is our king into being saved. Anyone that is not born again cannot be seen in heaven. May we make it to heaven in Jesus’ name. Amen.
One night, a man who was a Pharisees name Nicodemus, came to Jesus to know more about Him and to confirm, if Jesus is truly the Messiah. He sent no one: for his position, he could have done so. He came in person to seek Jesus. The Messiah too, knowing his purpose for coming, told him exactly what he needed to hear — “No one can see the kingdom of God, without being born again.” A big surprise: how can that be possible? He asked. Jesus answered, it is possible. One has to be born by water and spirit. Its entry requirement is repentance and spiritual rebirth. Jesus’ answers to Nicodemus’ questions explain the process of salvation for everyone. No time is not convenient for Him. He is always ready and willing to hear and answer. Do not delay. When Nicodemus discovered that Jesus was the Messiah, he spoke up boldly in His defense (Acts 7:50, 51), that is being a true witness. We can all be His witness today, at this crucial time. Do not avoid Him.
LESSONS
1. Give time to know more about Jesus
2. When you truly know Him as the Messiah, do not hide yourself.
3. Be truly born again.
SECOND WEEK: GOD’S LOVE FOR MAN — John 3:16-21
April 11, 2021
After Jesus had taken His time to explain about salvation to Nicodemus, He delved into the issue of God’s love for man. He explained, “for God so loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not die but have eternal life” (John 3:16 GNB).
Anyone who believes in Him is not judged and is not condemned . Only those who reject Him are condemned already. The love of God to man cannot be well explained. It is so deep, you cannot get to the end; so wide, one cannot get around it, so high that you cannot escape it, so small that you cannot afford to miss it. Be touched by this love so as not to miss it. This is another Easter! Another Restoration Day! Think about it – will you RISE with Christ? This is another opportunity to invite the Risen Saviour into your life. Jesus is the only answer you need to live this world and enjoy heaven.
LESSONS
1. God’s love for man cannot be measured
2. Whoever believes in Him is saved

CHILDREN SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON
(KINGDOM OF GOD FAMILY)
THEME: CHILDREN AND THE PERILOUS TIME
PRE-ELEMENTARY
LESSON SIX:
April 4 & 11, 2021
TOPIC: JESUS IS THE ANSWER
TEXT: JOHN 3:1-21
At the end of this lesson, pupils shall be able to ask Jesus to come into their lives.
Last Sunday was Palm Sunday, and we saw how Judas was rewarded for betraying Jesus. Today is Easter Sunday. We want to see how Jesus provides answer to all our problems.
A man named Nicodemus who was a ruler among the Jews came to Jesus, one day, by night, to ask Him some serious questions.
He asked Jesus on how man can perform all the miracles that he saw Jesus performing. Jesus told him that, only a born again Christian can see God’s Kingdom. Do you know what happened? Nicodemus asked again that how can man become born again? He wanted to know if man will enter his mother’s stomach again and be born. But Jesus told him that man must be born of water and Spirit.
Jesus answered all his questions and made him to understand that He (Jesus) is the only way to heaven and have Himself to him as the answer to all his problems and questions.
Whatever we are passing through, or any problem we are facing, only Jesus is the answer to it. He has the power to defend us, protect us, give us joy, bless us, help us in our school work, but the only thing we should do is to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and be born again. Come now, Jesus is waiting for you. He loves you. HAPPY EASTER.
MEMORY VERSE: But God has shown us how much He loves us – it was while we were still sinners and Christ died for us (Romans 5:8 GNB).
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to You today, come and reign in my life, in Jesus’ name.
