THE HAND OF GOD

Read: 1 Kings 18:46

1 Kings 18:46 The hand of the Lord was on Elijah. He girded up his loins and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel [nearly twenty miles].

MEMORISE:

The right hand of the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly and achieves strength! (Psalms 118;16).

EXPOSITION

The hand of God is powerful says the Scriptures. It is so powerful that it can do everything, reach everywhere and can’t be stopped by any known and unknown powers. It is this powerful hand that sets the Israelites free from Egypt and gave them freedom from the oppression of pharaoh (Psalm 89:13-15). The hand of God has the capacity to achieve His desires.

His hand protects, secured and creates all (Isaiah 48:13). It moulds (Isaiah 64:8). If there is anything that is deformed, the hands of God can make it right. Christ touched the dumb and deaf.

The threat of the devil means nothing to Christ, because He has in His hand, the life of all living things. (Job 12:10). He determines what happens to man. (Psalm 31:18). He delivers His followers from pains and death.

David knew his life and indeed the life of every man is in the hand of God.  The whole earth is in the hollow of His hand; you can’t be out of His presence but you can cut yourself off. He is definitely watching over you and He will satisfy you with all the good things of His hands because when He opens His hands, creatures are satisfied with His goodies (Psalm 145:16).

He will give you victory for He has never lost any battle (1 Samuel 5:6-9). The Egyptians, Babylonian, Hittites, Amorites, etc., and their kings are witnesses of the might of His hand (Amos 1:6-8). He will defeat the worst enemy of yours. Be confident that the hand of God will rescue you from the stronghold of the enemy (Isaiah 23:11).

If and when you seek justice, you can trust Him, He is just. He arrested Saul (Paul) because of the disciples and made him useful for His glory. (Acts 13:11).

PRAYER POINTS:

1. Lord, touch me with Your unfailing hand and transform my life to suit Your purpose here on earth.

2. Pray that God will satisfy you with every good thing that flows from His hand.

3. Father, let Your mighty hand rescue as many that are under the influence of hard drug and every other evil spell.
