GOD FIGHTS FOR HIS OWN
TEXT: DANIEL 6:15-24
“My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.” Daniel 6:22, NIV
Brother Samuel was hated by his superior in the office because he would not compromise his faith in Jesus Christ. His promotion was denied and some of his allowances were withheld. He prayed to God about it; God told him to love his superior officer and he should buy fresh fruit for him while going to the office the next day. Bro. Samuel obeyed. The man ate the fresh fruit. On the following day, the news of his death was heard. Bro. Samuel asked God what happened to the superior officer. God said,” I killed him because you obeyed me by loving him.”
Certain high ranking officers rose against Daniel in Babylon; they hated him and sought to get rid of him by all means. They made the king to pass a law that they believed Daniel would surely be guilty of. The law stated that no person should pray to any god within thirty days. Daniel prayed to the God of Israel and they threw him into the lions’ den. But God saved him from being killed by the lions.
God will always deliver those who truly walk with Him in faith and obedience. Never have anything to do with unrighteousness; be a person of truth always. Love those who persecute you and God will always defend you.
Insight: The weapons of the flesh cannot deliver you from those who hate you.
Prayer: My God, give me your wisdom to always escape the wickedness of the wicked in Jesus name!
