ADD TO YOUR FAITH

During COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown, a Christian medical officer was at home with his family when he learnt that some victims of the virus had been brought to the hospital, the medical officer was not on duty that fateful day but as a senior resident officer, he insisted on going to help out. He prayed with his wife and children and left, trusting God that all will be well. To some people, his decision sounded foolish. As a Christian, he offered the assistance and was eventually honoured by the Medical Association.
To make efforts means to strive, to intensify, to apply force to add value. The values to be added to FAITH include goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, mutual affection and love. These should be secondary, after given our lives to Jesus. It is unfortunate that many specialise on these virtues, thereby neglecting the first thing which is the salvation of their souls. It is a known fact that you cannot do one and leave the other.
What are the testimonies of people in your neighbourhood about you? Are you a practicing Christian or a mere churchgoer? Be challenged today and make necessary adjustments. God will help you.
Insight: People should see Jesus Christ through your faith.
Prayer: Eternal Father, help me to make my Christian faith effective and productive.
