DATE: Sunday, January 14, 2023
(World Logic Day)

TOPIC: YOU ARE EQUIPPED

MEMORISE  : Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the fight (Colossians 1:12).

READ: Mark 10:1-20

[1]. Then He arose from there and came to the region of Judea by the other side of the Jordan. And multitudes gathered to Him again, and as He was accustomed, He taught them again.

[2]. The Pharisees came and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him.

[3]. And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?”

[4]. They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her.”

[5]. And Jesus answered and said to them, “Because of the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

[6]. But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’

[7]. ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,

[8]. and the two shall become one flesh’; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh.

[9]. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

[10]. In the house His disciples also asked Him again about the same matter.

[11]. So He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

[12]. And if a woman divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

[13]. Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

[14]. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.

[15]. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

[16]. And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them.

[17]. Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”

[18]. So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

[19]. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”

[20]. And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”

EXPOSITION

As kids, we idolised tall elders, teachers, doctors, professors and the wealthy, thinking we could never measure up. But as we grow up, we learn to overcome this sense of inadequacy (inferiority complex). Don’t let it hold you back. Look back on your achievements and see how far you’ve come. Our salvation gives us the power to do great things for God. The Holy Bible says that we should give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ because, He has qualified us in His Son to accomplish many things for Him. You are saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Spirit to possess great anointing from God. You are divinely prepared to be hale and hearty

You are qualified by the Spirit of God to excel, be excellent, and achieve top grades in your academics. If you align yourself with His plan, you will witness miracles. You are empowered to be wealthy and use your blessings for the Lord’s work without engaging in criminality. Jesus died so that we could be qualified through His merit, not ours. Feeling inferior to others only happens when you focus on yourself. Instead, start acknowledging what Jesus Christ has done for, and in you today and humbly consider yourself qualified in God’s eyes. Take action based on this spiritual qualification, and witness God as He works wonders for, and through you. You are made qualified! Today is World Logic Day: enjoy!
