TOPIC: SPECIAL BLESSING, SPECIAL PEOPLE

READ : 1 Peter 2:9-10
[9]. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
[10]. who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
EXPOSITION
The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it (Prov. 10:22). Only the children of God receive His special grace. A true parent never gives what belongs to his/her child to a dog. Only those who are on the Lord’s side can access the special blessing in God’s protection for His people. Yes, God is good, and He is never partial. Yet, in His prerogative, He has consideration for His own before others. The Bible says, Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance (Psa. 33:12). It is not possible for God to treat you generally with others, if you are one of His own peculiar people. He entered into an everlasting covenant with Abram because, Abram obeyed Him, and that spread to the entire people of Israel. By God’s grace, Israel became a holy nation and royal priesthood of YAHWEH. We, the believers in Christ, have received the same covenant and have become special people of God. We are now spiritual Jews and have direct access to God’s special grace and blessings. Hallelujah!
The counsel: Don’t take lightly your role as a unique person of God, if you want to keep receiving the special blessings meant for you. God has a deep love for His people and has prepared something special for them. Keep holding onto your special position in God, and everything will be fine for you. Happy International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation.

2. As an apple of Your eyes, help me to always enjoy the beauty of Your presence and special packages.
