TOPIC: SOW IN TEARS
MEMORISE : Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy (Psalm 126:5).

[5]. Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.
[6]. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
EXPOSITION
Farming, like any other occupation, is not an easy ride, but it is very essential for human existence, to put food on the table. Because of the harrowing experiences of farming, the Psalmist alludes to the tears characteristic of sowing. The farmer sowing hardly does that smiling. Sowing is tedious. Situations like unfavourable climatic conditions, and pest invasion can have very negative impacts on the harvest. The situation of many of us is exactly like the farmer who sow in tears. Our devotion to God, labours in the vineyard of the Lord, sacrificial giving, labours in prayer and fasting, contributions to Church projects, etc, are all like sowing in tears. Parents’ efforts on their children are sacrificially enormous
God rewards these tears with joy in the morning, just as the farmer smiles to the bank when the harvest time comes. If by chance you refuse to sow with tears now, the real tears will come later. This is because, rest, they say is sweet after labour. Rest becomes miserable however, when one has refused to work while it was day. Night comes when you will not be able to work anymore (Jn. 9:4)
Certainly, difficulties are associated with sowing. It is with tears that we sow, but the Bible assures that weeping may endure for a night, but joy definitely comes in the morning. Go on sowing even as we celebrate World Plant Power Day today, you will certainly reap it, provided you faint not.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, assist me to labour on while it is day, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord Jesus, grant all faithful labourers the endurance and longsuffering to continue till the end, regardless of the challenges, in Jesus’ name.
3. Pray for CAC Theological Seminary, Opa, lle-lfe, and its off Campuses, the Provost, the Coordinators and the staff as led by the Holy Spirit.
