Matthew 19:14
READ: MATTHEW 19:13-15
[13] Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. [14] But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
[15] And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence.
MESSAGE:
The disciples, in today’s Bible reading, out of their zeal to protect Jesus from disturbance, tried chasing away the children who were brought to be touched, but Jesus asked that they be left alone. There is a song we always sing in the Children’s Church which shows that irrespective of skin colour, race, tribe or language, every child is special to God:
Jesus loves the little children
All the children of the world
Red, brown, yellow, black and white
They are precious in His sight
Jesus loves the little children of the world
Dear child, you are a gift from the Lord to your parents. The Bible calls you ‘a crown to the aged’ (Proverbs 17:6); this means that when your parents are old, you will add beauty to their lives. There is nothing God cannot do for you because He loves you. Are you believing Him for healing, academic success, the salvation of a relative, deliverance from attacks, provisions, et cetera? Ask Jesus today and listen to what He will tell you.
KEY POINT:
As God’s child, you have direct access to Him any day.
