TOPIC: WHAT IS IN YOUR HOUSE? (III)

[11]. Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul,
[12]. so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them.
[13]. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.”
[14]. Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so.
[15]. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
[16]. Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
[17]. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
[18]. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.
[19]. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver.
[20]. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.
EXPOSITION
Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola was once invited to offer prayers for an individual, a teacher, residing in Odo-Owa. He graciously accepted the invitation and proceeded to the teacher’s residence. Upon his arrival, the Holy Spirit revealed to him the presence of a bottle containing a fetish concoction concealed within the premises, providing him with precise details regarding its appearance and size. Despite their initial denial, Apostle Babalola cautioned them that if they were indeed lying, they would face divine retribution from God. Upon hearing this warning from the esteemed man of God, they trembled in fear and one of the teacher’s relatives ventured inside the house to retrieve the bottle, beseeching Babalola to intercede for the forgiveness of their transgressions. It was at this juncture that they confessed their wrongdoing and surrendered the bottle, which was subsequently destroyed by Apostle Babalola.
To God be the glory Apostle Babalola was moved by the Spirit of God to pray for the teacher, resulting in his complete recovery from illness. I implore you to introspect and reveal your own hidden “bottle” of secret sins, anger, disobedience, hypocrisy, or charm, so that you may experience healing in the present moment. You can’t be harbouring the devil’s things and at the same time be expecting God’s blessings over your life. Repent, now!
PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, I bring out before You those godless “bottles” in my life. Have mercy on me and deliver me from them and their influences.
2. Every evil that demonic “bottles” have inflicted on me, come out of my life and off to the bottomless pit, in Jesus’ name.
3. Pray for CAC Anosike Region, our father in the Lord, the Regional Superintendent, and other officers at the various levels as led by the Spirit of God.
