EXPOSITION
When you know that your life is in God’s hands, it is good if you can hold your peace and allow Him to have His way in your life. This is an antidote to worry, anxiety and unnecessary struggles in life. The Psalmist understood this quite well and he confessed, The LORD will perfect that which concerns me. One of the assurances that God gave the exiles is that they should rest their mind, for I know the thought that I think toward you (Jer. 29:11). God has a great plan for you as one of His children. It talks about His undeniable promises and unfailing purpose. God is too faithful to leave you to suffer. He is too merciful and kind to allow the enemy succeed over you. His plan for you is perfect.
Fathers on earth may make promises to their sons that they cannot keep, but God is always able to show His love to His children. He is immortal and everlasting, and nothing can stop Him from fulfilling His promises. He is able abundantly to do whatever He has promised. He supported Abraham when He asked him to leave for Canaan. He went with him and fulfilled His promises in his life. He extended His goodness to his children and grandchildren, after him. God’s magnificence is unmatched, and His plan is flawless. God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent… (Num. 23:19). You can bank on Him.
PRAYER POINTS
1. Oh Lord my God, perfect all that concerns me, in Jesus’ name.
2. Lord, help me to trust You wholly and depend on Your ability to bring to pass all that You have said concerning me.
3. Lord, help as many who are still doubting Your ability and power to fix their lives and purposes for them, in Jesus’ name
