Yesterday, we started out on God’s selection test for a Daniel. We shall continue from where we stopped. In Judges 7:5, Gideon brought 10,000 people to the water. They were all thirsty and began to drink. If you are a leader, you must identify yourself with Gideon because one of the responsibilities of a leader, as he goes higher, is to choose men and place men. Men will determine how well, how far, and how long something would last.

In grooming men for ministry over the years, the Lord showed me that what the world is looking for is not what He is looking for. Some men are physically capable, but they don’t have the head that God can anoint with oil.

In all the years that I’ve pastored, the most difficult training point where I have seen people struggle is in the place of serving a servant of God in the ministry or kingdom leadership. It is the most difficult place because it can expose you to danger. I tell people that being in that position is just one step from greatness or irrelevance.

If you observe the training of all the apostles, the Bible says that Jesus chose them that they should be with Him and that He might send them forth to preach. He didn’t say that He will send them forth to preach but that He might. “Might” means that they have to qualify for it.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to cooperate with the processes You are using to prepare me for my destiny in Jesus’ name. Amen.

BIBLE IN A YEAR: Jeremiah 48:1-49:22, 2 Timothy 4:1-22, Psalms 95:1-96:13, Proverbs 26:9-12
