Happy New Month! Welcome to the final month of the year 2020. In this month’s devotional, we will explore the theme of ‘joining’ in marriage.
Marriage is one institution that many people are eager to step into without taking out the time required to get the basic understanding for effective preparation. Although the devotional for this month is primarily written for married people, it is highly recommended for every single person to read and understand before entering marriage. It is real wisdom to be wise before the event and not after the event.
The marriage union is such a technical union that we need to understand the depth of what God had in mind when He established it. When God looks at a couple, He sees them as one, just as He sees the Church and the Body of Christ as one.
The reason why many couples are not walking in the best that God has for their union is due to the lack of this basic understanding. There is an exponential power that your joining is to bring. I want you to begin to see the marriage union as an entity. In marriage, one plus one equals one. God wants us to grow individually and He wants our marriage to grow into Him, not just anyhow, but in all things into Christ, the anointed One, which is the Head.
Pay close attention to all that the Holy Spirit will be revealing this month and together with your spouse, take the necessary steps to enjoy a heaven on earth experience in your marriage.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to walk in the reality of the power that my marriage union is to bring in Jesus name.
