TOPIC: Where Is The Lord God Of Elijah? (I)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Kings 2:9-15 (KJV)
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
I PROPHESY THAT THE GOD OF ELIJAH WILL MAKE YOU HIS BATTLE AXE AND INSTRUMENT OF WAR IN THIS GENERATION, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
MESSAGE:
Elisha ministered to his master, Elijah, until Elijah ascended to heaven. He also knew the unusual magnitude of the grace and power of God upon his master. Out of his desire to do great works, he requested for double portion of Elijah’s spirit. Elijah told him that his request would be granted if he was able to see him being taken up. Elisha was given the grace to see his master, Elijah, being taken away. He also took the mantle that fell from Elijah before he arrived at River Jordan.
Elisha needed to cross the river, a great obstacle indeed. He was not going to swim and there was no bridge to use, so he needed a miracle to cross over River Jordan. He had heard and seen the faithfulness and wonder-working power of God through the amazing feats of his master, Elijah. He called on the God of Elijah with unwavering faith. Then he took the mantle that had fallen from Elijah, struck the water and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” The water parted to the right and to the left; and he crossed over.
The Lord God of Elijah is a wonder-working God, false-prophet-dislodging God and He is still at work today. The first supernatural work Elisha did with the fresh anointing he received was to surmount great obstacles. Remember that Elijah had struck the water of Jordan with his mantle and it parted for him and Elisha to cross over. Elisha called on the God who performed that miracle through his master, Elijah, and God answered him. The miracle of parting Jordan showed that the God of Elijah was with Elisha. It also proved that Elisha had an unstoppable anointing. He demonstrated great faith in the God of Elijah and he got his breakthrough.
Beloved, as a New Testament believer, your faith in the mighty and wonder-working name of Jesus will produce supernatural solution to any challenge that confronts you. It will part your Jordan, remove all obstacles the enemy puts in your way and produce miracles that will make your joy to be full. All you need is to make sure that you are born again and that you have faith in God.

- Father, give me a personal Pentecost experience and use me for Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, give me the faith of Elijah, in the name of Jesus.
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Appear and remove any obstacle in the way of my advancement, in the name of Jesus.

- Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Appear and remove any obstacle in the way of my breakthroughs, in the name of Jesus.
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Appear and let the whole world know that You are with me, in the name of Jesus.
- My Father, empower me and make me a solution to this generation, in the name of Jesus.
- Power to part my Jordan and work great miracles, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
