CAC LIVING WATER DAILY DEVOTIONAL FOR MAY 6, 2022 : TOPIC – THE GAME CHANGERS (1)

1 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.

2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.

5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.

*EXPOSITION*

          The Bible exclusively records that God blessed all that Potiphar had, *for Joseph’s sake* (Gen.39v5). This simply means that a remarkable and recognisable all-round (including economic and financial) increase came into Potiphar’s household, and it was discovered that someone’s presence (a carrier of grace) was solely responsible for that-Joseph.

       Brethren, there are people in life whose presence in our lives would be the beginning of remarkable successes and fulfillment of destiny, i.e. God’s desire for one’s life, home and endeavours. This is just as there are people whose presence in one’s life only add sorrow upon sorrow. Laban was blessed because of Jacob in his house (Gen.30v27), Esther was destined to be a Queen in that foreign land of Persia, but it might not have been possible without the efforts, godly inputs, presence and guidance of Mordecai (Est.2v7ff), considering her status as an orphan.

         There are people whose shoulder we must leverage on to get to our destination in life. There are people who possess vital information that would propel us to the next level. There are people whose closeness and friendship would bring positive vibes, success and growth to us. May we be connected to them, unstoppably, in Jesus name. But remember that God has also programmed that you would be such positive influence to others. Are you doing that? If it is not happening through you yet, go to God for direction and deliverance, as the case may be.

      In our churches, ministries, families and lives, game changers are needed to positively affect the face of circumstances. May God direct such people to us, in Jesus name. May we also receive God’s grace to rise up to such challenges around us. Amen.

PRAYER POINTS

1. Lord, eliminate all factors of stagnation in my life, in Jesus name.

2. Lord, bring my way the game-changers needed for my next level in every aspect of my life, in Jesus name.

3. Pray for CAC Latunde Region, our Father in the Lord, the Superintendent, and it’s officers at the various levels, as led by the spirit of God.
